Yes, she was the daughter of Thutmose the I. & Queen Ahmose I.  Thutmose I & Ahmose both had a son.   Sadly both died very young.  Thutmose also had a son from a former wife.  That son married his half-sister, Hatshepsut.  Then, Hatshepsuts husband got sick & died.   After his death, Hatshepsut had a daughter, Neferure.  NOW ISN'T THAT CONFUSING!?! To think back then people married their own family members...UMM CAN I SAY EW?!!?

Where Was She Buried?

  Hatsheput was buried in the Valley of The Kings. If your wondering what that place is, well uhhh....how can I put this in words for you...it's pretty much were you bury a bunch of important dead people (Pharaohs). I think that's so weird! I probably would of been scared to death to walk around in that place at night time all alone! If your questioning and wondering who found all of these important pharaohs and most importantly Hatshepsut.  Well, I have an answer.--Howard Carter's his name! :) He's known for finding a lot of famous Pharaoh's, including Hatshepsut.  I think that's pretty cool! :)

What Are The Super Cool Buildings/Monuments Hatshepsut Built?(8

     She built The Great Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatsheput.  It was so huge.  It took 15 WHOLE years to make that thing!!! Phhh I wish I had a famous building built for me!! :P  It was originally thought she was buried there, but her mummy was found at a different place in 1902.  There was also monuments to queen Hatsheput at the Temple Complex of Karnak.  Originally there were 4 obelisks at this site.  Unfortunately only one remains.  The crazy thing is it is the largest IN THE WHOLE WORLD! (29.56 meters or 96.98 feet tall)  :( 

Why was Hatshepsut so important??

 Hatsheput was famous for SO many things.  For starters, it was VERY rare for a women to become a Pharaoh.  At that time,  women didn't have  many rights so I say YOU GO GIRL FOR SHOWING THOSE MEN WHO'S BOSS!! ;) Another thing, of coarse, is her OUTSTANDING buildings and monuments (in case you forgot)... the obelisks and The Great Mortuary Temple.  Also, which is so fascinating, is around 1492 BC, Hatshepsut went on a trade expedition with 5 ships down the Red Sea. The point of this exposition was to get myrrh, cinnamon, frank incense, gold & ivory...I know, I know it sounds boring, but there were several reasons why this expedition was important.  First, it was the first time trees (myrrh) had been transplanted to another area and survived!!!  Secondly, she reestablished trade networks that had been disrupted for a long time. And finally, she changed the way trading happened by cutting out the middle man.  SOUNDS LIKE SUPER WOMEN TO ME!!
